The China Floods which happened in the year 1931 took almost between 1 million to 2.5 million lives. The death toll of the yellow River Flood which also happened in China during 1887 was some where between 0.9 million to 2 million. The estimated death toll of Shaanxi earthquake that occurred in 1556 is 830,000. Bhola Cyclone, which caused almost 500,000 deaths, happened in the then East Pakistan which is now known as Bangladesh.
Let's not forget the recent Indian Ocean Tsunami which shook all of us and took as many lives as 310,000 people. It garnered a humanitarian response throughout the world and $14 billion was collected in its aid to victims.
