As most people would agree, coffee is one of the tastiest and refreshing drinks in the world. For many people, it is difficult to start a day without a cup of coffee and this drink is what keeps most people going through the day.

 

While we go on in our lives enjoying our hot cups of coffee,we do not realise the fact that there are many really expensive coffees in the world. These expensive varieties of coffee are priced highly because of their quality, rare existence and superb taste. The most expensive coffee in the world is from Indonesia and is called Kopi Luwak. This coffee costs $160 / pound.

 

The second most expensive coffee in the world is the hacienda la Esmeralda which is from Panama and costs $160/pound. Among the list of the most expensive coffees in the world, island of St. Helena coffee company also deserves a mention since it costs $79/pound.

 

El Injerto is another variety of coffee which can leave us light on the pocket and is from Guatemala. Some other expensive varieties of coffee are Fazenda Santa Ines from Brazil, Blue Mountain from Jamaica, Los Planes, Kona from Hawaii and Starbucks Rwanda Blue Bourbon from Rwanda.
