While the section ‘beauty’ on Reddit has more than 3,000 subscribers, the other section ‘amugly’ has 16,900 subscribers. A survey conducted in 2010 shows that 69% of women visited a beauty site within in the previous month. 55% of women received letters from health or beauty brands. And another 32% of women turned into fans or follower for health or beauty product on FaceBook and Twitter.
