How Supermarkets Trick us into Buying?

Almost every adult visits the supermarket once in a month if not more.

Supermarkets are businesses that run on strategies. One of them is the soft lighting that induces impulsive purchases. Those who move through the store in the clockwise direction are found to spend much less than those who move counter clockwise.

Aisle caps, price tags and strategic placement of goods are all a part of boosting purchases. Color coding is another strategy to attract customers. Red is the eye catcher, blue indicates trust, green gives a feeling of fresh and orange color makes you drool.

Top shelves usually stock premium brands. the middle ones have popular brands and the last shelves stock generic and value items. Purchase decisions are made in 90sec.
