HIV /AIDS is a disease that can be treated only through preventing it from happening.
HIV/AIDS is a disease where prevention itself is the cure. For those infected with the virus, anti-retroviral treatment is provided on detection. This treatment if continued will help prevent its transmission by more than 98%.
Even in first world countries like the USA the number of people who stick with the treatment schedule was 55%. In Africa, people undergoing treatment for HIV/AIDS need to be monitored continuously. This is because they are not educated enough to understand the dosages to be taken.
WHO workers in Rwanda have made sure that 92% of those undergoing this therapy continue with it even 2 years after starting the treatment.
