Gold is one of the most valuable resource and also one which is considered a highly sought after precious metal. It is used in making coins, jewellery and other art forms. It is a fact that a total of 171300 tonnes of gold have been mined in the world till today and continues to get produced at all places where there is supply of this metal present.

\Most of the gold present in the world is at the core of the earth. While some countries have hardly any access to the gold, some might have abundance of it. The highest gold producing country in the world is China which produces 370 metric tons of gold every year.

Australia is the second largest producer of gold in the entire world and it produces about 250 metric tons of gold per year. Even United States produces a lot of gold per year at 230 metric tons on an average.

Russia is also one of the highest gold producing countries in the world followed by South Africa which produces 170 metric tons, Peru which produces 165 metric tons, Canada which produces 102 metric tons, Indonesia which produces 95 metric tons and Uzbekistan which produces 90 metric tons of gold per year.
