More people are starting to trust the power of cloud as it has become a mainstream way to store data and manage systems. In a recent survey conducted, it was revealed that more Enterprise IT organizations depend heavily on the use of public, private and hybrid cloud services.
Approximately 35% are using a public cloud service via service provider and about 25% are using hybrid cloud service which is a combination of public and private. Public cloud services market is expected to grow in the next year from $111 billion in 2012 to $131 billion in 2013.
Around 69% of IT professionals spend 10% or more of their IT budget on cloud services and the number of IT professionals spending on cloud services could increase in the next three years. About 6% of spending on in-house traditional IT would come down in next two years.
Instant scalability, fast deployment, automated backup and updates are the main advantages of using cloud services. Web services, collaboration, backup and storage are the top three business applications used in cloud. Around 53% of IT professionals prefer to manage and configure their network through the cloud services rather than on-premise device or server.
