Origin of cat domestication dates back into Egyptian times. Scientists have found the evidence in Cyprus, i.e cat buried with its owner. Cats which we see at our homes today are related to the actual wild cats of Africa.
Domestication of animals in the history is known to all of us but the mystery behind this fact is that why cats has been domesticated. It is because cats are rather individual animals unlike other pets that look up for humans care and touch.
Many of the animals in the history are domesticated for the benefit of humans and then we get the thought of the beginning of settled life of humans, where the food grains are stored at a place which attracted the rodents.
The major rodents which eat away the stored food was mouse, cat being the natural enemy of the mouse, humans started domesticating cat and either of them are being benefited by this mutual relationship.
Cats have turned into pets. Now humans are much attached to their pet cat.
