
The concept of reading books is now highly depended on electronic devices.
Devices such as eReaders, tablets, computers, and Smartphones, playing greater roles in eBook reading. However both eReader, a device exclusively dedicated to eBook reading, and computer are equally used by the people.
Only 23% of eBook readers use tablets. Another 29% of them rely on Smartphones. But 42% of people depend on computers and 41% utilize eReader.
When both forms of sales compared in 2010, eBook sales dominated print books. While 1.5 billion worth of eBooks sold, only $820 millions worth of printed educational books sold.
Among many advantages of eBook reading, 83% of the people say they get a book quickly. 73% of them read while traveling. 81% users said they read with their children and 69% of users share eBooks.
The people from age group of 25-34 years, 45-54 years and above 55 years used more eBook readers compared to the remaining age groups.
