There are numerous reasons for teenagers to turn into drug abusers and most notorious ones being parents’ divorce, changing city, changing college, entering puberty, getting to the end of puberty. In puberty due to emotional imbalance and rise in hormones many of them could not differentiate between the good and bad and hence starts drug abusing.
The common treatment approaches for teenagers are similar to the approaches used in adult treatment programs. Teens will still receive counseling services, but the topics discussed during the treatment and method of handling is not same.
