This chart suggests the amount of protein, carbohydrates, fats, amino acids and creatine that need to be consumed for different sports. Body builders and power lifters need to consume maximum amount of protein - as much as 3 g of protein per kg of body weight, per day.
In contrast those going for body sculpting, swimming, mixed martial arts, athletics and rugby need only 2 to 2.3 g of protein. However all of them require 5 g of creatine to build and maintain muscle tone.
Those consuming more protein should consume less carbohydrates and fats.
