Cyber crime is on the rise and statistics are a proof of that.

In the year 2011 alone more than 1 million people have been victims of cyber crime. They are known to cost any company a minimum of 5% loss in profits.

Threats to a business from cyber crime may be due to: fraud, intellectual property theft or data security breach. USA is the most affected country in terms of cyber attacks.

About 26% of all attacks are aimed at this country. This is followed by China, Germany and UK where it ranges from 9-5%.

Cyber crime is said to cost a whooping 7 billion pounds annually. The numbers are only increasing.
