Peta2 is the world's largest youth animal's right group and its motto is animals are not ours to hurt. We may have condoned animal cruelty but this cruelty is still in practice in labs of schools, colleges and major institutions. Each year in total 10 million animals are killed for classroom dissection.
If we keep on dissecting the animals like this, we may very well say to bye to the motto of going green. Firstly, it will affect the food chain. If frogs (the most commonly dissected animal) are removed from the ecosystem, the population of insects will skyrocket; to control which more pesticides will be used for crop preservation which will eventually increase the incidences of diseases.
Some states in US have policies where students can say no to dissection and not be penalized for it. So say yes to digital frog dissection and no to live animal dissection.
