Every year several softwares are used by the students who are enrolled in a college to pursue professional courses. According to a survey conducted by sheer Id, it was reported that 53% students have purchased Microsoft office, 20% students purchased adobe software,5% students purchased various anti virus software to protect their personal computers from harmful viruses and 20% candidates have purchased other softwares that include coral draw, quick books , Auto CAD etc.
More than 36% students know they can avail discount to purchase a software and 66% candidates have no idea about the student discount associated with software purchase. Sheer Id survey depicts that 45 % students have bought software from college book store, 34% purchased from online stores, 7 % students acquired the software from office stores, 7% students got them from IT department of their colleges and 7% students has acquired software through other means.
