Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. While 93% of Americans feel the breakfast is the important meal, only 44% of Americans take breakfast daily. Around 168 million Americans skip breakfast at least once.
Studies show that breakfast can play a vital role in maintaining a healthy body weight. People who skip breakfasts would consume 40% of more sweets, 55% of more soft drinks, 45% of fewer vegetables and 30% of less fruits. Half of regular skippers are obese.
Additionally, breakfast impacts your thinking patterns. Studies say that 61% of students improved performance in English and Math tests after taking breakfast. And hand-eye co-ordination was found to be improved.
However, researchers suggest that a breakfast should include whole-grain, non-fat dairy products, and proteins.
