Similar to all other parts of the world Brazil celebrates its new year on the 1st of January which they call as “Dia Mundial Da Paz”. The next holidays fall on the 11th, 12th and the 13th of February which are declared as carnival, carnival Tuesday and Ash Wednesday respectively. Subsequent to these the next holiday is for the Good Friday which falls on March 29th.
The holiday after this day is on May 1st which is declared holiday and known as “ Dia Do Trabalho” in Brazil. Again the 30th of May is a holiday with it being the corpus Christ day in Brazil.
After these comes the next holiday on September 7th for declaration as Independence Day. In the month of October there is only one holiday falling on October 12th celebrated as “Our Lady Of Aparecida” day.
November month has the maximum number of holidays in 2013 with 1st, 2nd, 15th and 20th being a holiday on account of all saints day, all souls day, proclamation of the Republic day and lastly the black consciousness day. The last holiday in the year 2013 in Brazil falls on the 25th of December being celebrated as Christmas day.
