The Baby Boomers leave a huge impact on trends in housing market. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, a baby boomer is a person, who was born during the demographic Post-World War II baby boom between the years 1946 and 1964.
When conducted a survey among 1,333 sales agents, 96.3% of them said that they are working with baby boomers. 80% of professionals say that older baby boomers are more likely to want to downsize. But 34% of young boomers are interested in purchasing a second home.
While 66% of sales agents informed that young baby boomers want proximities close to health care, old baby boomers wanted locations close to parks and recreation. 87% of agents say more boomers delayed selling their homes due to impacts of economy.
