International Data Corporation (IDC) estimates that by the end of the year 2014, the total App downloads across the globe will reach 76.9 billion. Canalysis.com, leading surveying company has estimated that by 2015, the revenue generated through direct sale of the Apps will raise from $7.3 billion to $36.7 billion.
