
The nursing Industry in the US has the biggest work force in the US health care sector with over 3 million members and it has been found that they have the potential to change the whole health care scenario in the US.
With over 62.2% of the nurses working in hospitals and another 10.5% in ambulatory setting and 7.8% in community and public health centres, they have the responsibility to teach and counsel the patients as well as have the role of researching and evaluating for more effective ways of caring for their patients.
It has also been found that the number of practicing nurses as well as assistants to physicians is steadily increasing with a 50% rise from between 1995 to 2009.
