RIM, it’s a popular product of Blackberry that was launched into market in 2007. After becoming popular in few years, slowly the revenue of RIM started to plunge down and its overall annual revenue is below its asset value. It was exactly after 3 years from the time it was launched, RIM lost its top position in the smartphone market and in 2011, the company has laid off its 10% of the total workforce.
Though Playbook was launched by RIM, but it went in vain due to lack of fascinating features that could withhold the existing RIM users. And in 2012, nearly 30% of its workforce has been laid off and the stock price of RIM has recorded low beyond the expectations.
