For many people, owning an home which meets their expectations is not an easy job. When it comes to preferences while buying an home, buyers have varied views. 28% of buyers in 2010 and 32% of buyers in 2011 preferred 1,400-2,000 sq ft sized homes. That means most American want smaller homes.
From the perspective of the top amenities that buyers are looking for in new home construction, They want to be included low-E windows, walk-in closest in the master bedroom, separate shower and tub in the master bathroom, great room, linen closet, programmable thermostat, insulated front door, laundry room, energy-efficient appliances and lighting.
On the other hand, 45% of buyers seek homes that cost less than $200,00. Similarly, they want to create smaller ecological foot print (EFP). By 2011, construction of green homes saw by 17% which is expected to increase by 38% in 2016.
