The total number of plastic surgeries in UK for men in the year 2012 was 4102 which was 4.1% less than in the year 2011. Out of these, the maximum number that is 952 cases was of Rhinoplasty. There were 758 cases of eyelid surgery, 642 cases of breast reduction, 503 cases of ear correction, 11 cases of breast augmentation, 306 cases of face neck lift and 241 cases of fat transfer.
The other remaining cases comprised of 433 liposuction cases, 107 abdominoplasty cases and 149 cases of brow lifts. On the other hand, the total number of surgeries for women in UK in the year 2012 was 39070. Out of these, there were 6071 eyelid surgeries, 4217 breast reduction surgeries, 5324 face neck lift surgeries, 3228 rhinoplasty cases, 2882 abdominoplasty cases, 2641 fat transfer cases, 2638 liposuction cases, 1663 brow lifting cases and 563 ear correction cases.
The most popular plastic surgery procedures for women include breast augmentation, eye lid surgery, face/neck lift, breast reduction and nose job. Whereas the most popular plastic surgery procedures of men include nose job, breast augmentation, eye lid surgery and ear correction.
