The largest cave in the world is the Mammoth cave which is 643.7 km in length and was discovered in the year 1791. This cave is located near Brownsville, Kentucky, US. The second largest cave in the world is Sistema Dos Ojos which is located near Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico and is 310.7 km in length.
The Jewel cave which is located near Custer, South Dakota, US is the third largest cave in the world and is 267.6 km in length. On the fourth spot of this list is the Sistema Ox Bel Ha which is 243 km in length and was discovered in the year 1996.
Optymistychna cave is the 5th largest cave in the world with a length of 236 km. This cave is situated near Korolivka, Ukraine. The 6th largest cave is the Wind cave which is 226.1 km and this cave is followed by Lechuguilla cave which is 217.3 km in length and is located in New Mexico, US.
On the 8th spot is the Holloch cave with a length of 200.4 km. The 9th largest and the 10th largest caves in the world are Fisher Ridge cave system and Gua Air Jernih cave.
