The landmarks and monuments we are all familiar with have been around for years.
We hear about them constantly, and know of their location, but something we might not consider is the time and effort gone into restoring them.
Restored monuments have been rebuilt, or are still being rebuilt today, in order to recreate the landmarks that once stood there. Some of them have taken more than a decade to rebuild, such as the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and others are still in the process of being restored, such as the Alhambra.
Without the experts putting in time, money and a lot of blood sweat and tears, these large monuments wouldn’t be standing tall and restored as they are today.
This infographic, bought to you by Hitched, shows us visual information about these large monuments, and portrays how each historic monument has been restored along with the time it has taken to do so.
