Overall, the biggest segment of women spend a nominal $251-$500 per year on their makeup, averaging over $25000 spent on makeup during their lifetimes. Just as women are astute shoppers for their clothes, so to their makeup, knowing when to pay for quality, and where to skimp and where to splurge.

“I wish I could spend more time in the morning,” said one response, “but I’m always so rushed.” Then, 21% of women do appear to have the luxury of time, spending 31-45 minutes in the morning applying their makeup.
Said one response, “I’d rather cut sleep short than my makeup routine. I don’t want to go to work not looking put together.”
