It has been found that in recent times, the sale of e-books have been seeing a decline in their sales in United Kingdom even with the rise in ebook readers.
Where there was a 109% increase in the ebook revenue in 2010, 2013 saw only a 5% growth rate in the first quarter even though 20% of the US and 21% of the UK prefer reading an ebook.
42% of the ebooks that are downloaded, are read on the personal computer while 41% of the reader do so on ebook readers. But even so the sales have been decreasing mostly because the market for ebooks have grown to such an extent that any big increase in the sales comes off only as a small percentage.
