The Pre show entertainment starts 6 hours ahead of the Midnight Fireworks. The Sydney Harbour Bridge looks magnificent against the dark night sky.

Family fireworks continue to provide citizens an opportunity to bring the family together and re-bond over the next few days of the holidays. The light parade at the Harbour is a huge success and every year locals and tourist come here for this spectacular experience. More than 60 illuminated boats make passage within the Sydney Harbour after 9pm making it truly the Harbour of Light.
At midnight the harbour is lit up with over 7 tonnes of fireworks. You will witness some 25,000 shooting comets and 11,000 shells.
The government spends $6.3 million for fireworks. Over 300 volunteers and 1,000 accredited personal work round the clock to ensure the safety of citizens and smooth flow of the event.
The New Year Eve celebration contributes $165 million to the local society.
