When it comes to UK employees, it is unclear what they will do when they reach retirement age. Will they carry on working or just find a part-time placement? Results of the survey show, 32.4% of men and 41.6% women do not know whether they will carry on working after retirement. A majority of men (24.3%) compared to women (18.9%), seems to be unaware of engagements after retirement. On the other hand, by 2018 the government of UK plans to increase the age from 60 to 66 for both men and women for getting state pension.
Over 42% of employees with A level academic profile want to retire while 40.6% of GCSE graduates would like to sign off for their jobs. However, 37.1% of full-time workers and 21.3% of part-time workers have plans to retirement. Due to financial reasons a majority (41.5%) of employees are going for retirement.
