Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam. It is one of the major fast of the Islamic year. During Ramadan Muslims perform different activities such as fasting, charity giving, reflection and self accountability.
When observing fast, the devotees avoid food, water and sex from dawn to dusk. Iftar means breaking of the fast meal in the evenings of Ramadan. At the end of Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated, which is considered as an end festival of the season.
All the major religions follow the concept of fasting, which is mostly applied in spirituality, politics, and health.
