Hill Climb racing is type of racing where professional racers compete against the timer on a considerably steep uphill race course. Usually the racer who completes with the shortest time wins while in other cases when the race is organized for motorcycles, the racer who reaches the highest point on a steep track is awarded the victory. The Prescott Hill Climb is one of the most famous hill climb courses in the world and it is situated in Gloucestershire in the United Kingdom.
The course has a "Long Course" and a "Short Course", both of which are used for separate type of events. Initially founded by the Bugatti Owners club, the track is still founded by them and is used for major events all through the year. These events are not only enjoyed and celebrated by the public but also act as major tourist attractions.
The organizers release a calendar of the events that have been organized for the whole year so that the public can plan and make time to view these very rare and interesting events.
These events are usually conducted by different motor clubs and their chapters from around the world. The first event of the year is organized by Blood Bikes and is called the Prescott Bike Festival. You can be sure it will be an intense contest and a brilliant event.
