It has been found that there is a very distinctive split in the prefered type of mobile apps among consumers and the enterprise. Apps can basically be differentiated as native apps- those that are preloaded in a device, hybrid apps- those that are used both the phones features as well as the web' and lastly the Web Apps- which are specifically those that are web-based and require an active internet connection for display.
Consumers have been known to prefer 40 % of the apps that are native, 40% that are web-based while 20% of them prefer using the Hybrid apps. While the 30% of the enterprise personnel have been known to prefer native apps, 60% of them prefer hybrid Apps while the rest 10% prefer the web based ones.
