The national holiday list of Japan, in the year 2013, is as follows for anybody wanted to know. June and August has no such holidays.
The first holiday of Japan is the New Year’s Day on 1 January. This is followed by the Coming of Age Day on 14 January. The National Foundation Day is observed on 11 February, followed by the Vernal Equinox Day on 20 March. While April has only the Showa day on 29, May has three consecutive holidays on 3, 4 and 5 with Constitution Memorial Day, Greenery Day and Children’s Day respectively. The last named will be observed on 6 May because 5 May is a Sunday.
July has only the Marine Day on 15. Respect for the Aged Day is on 16 September and the Autumnal Equinox Day is on 23 September. 14 October is the Health and Sports Day and this the only holiday in October. Culture Day falls on 3 November which is a Sunday this time round. Hence the day will be observed on 4 November. The Labor Thanksgiving day is observed on 23 November.
The Emperor’s Birthday is on 23 December. This is also the last national holiday of the year.
