Ireland is a country with very few declared holidays. In total, Ireland has only 9 holidays across the year. The first Holiday of the year 2013 for Ireland is on the 1st of January which is the New Year’s Day. After this, there are no holidays in Ireland for almost 2 months.
On March 17, Ireland celebrates the St. Patrick’s Day which too is a holiday in the country. On April 1, Ireland will be observing Easter Monday as a holiday.
Unlike most of the other nations, Ireland celebrates Labor Day on May 6 and not May 1. Labor Day is another holiday in the calendar of Ireland. June Holiday is observed in Ireland on June 3 whereas August 5 is August holiday in the country.
On October 28, the entire Ireland will celebrate the October Holiday. June Holiday, August holiday and October Holidays shall fall on Mondays. December 25th is the Christmas Day which is one of the most celebrated festivals in Ireland. December 26 shall too be a holiday being the St. Stephen’s Day.
