Sardine Whales which are also called as Sei Whales are the biggest mammals on earth after the blue whale and the fin whale.
It is a deep sea whale which has its own preferences in choosing habitat. It prefers offshore deep waters and migrates to the southern hemisphere in summer and returns back to the tropical waters in the winter.
Interesting facts about these whales is that its head itself accounts for 25% of its body and there age is calculated by the ear’s wax. They engulf a lot of water which contains food and they have special parts called as baleen plates which filter the food.
Sardine whale are under threat and they registered in endangered species of the UN list.
