January 1 is the New Year’s Day and is a day which is celebrated as a holiday in Indonesia. On January 24, The Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday is celebrated in Indonesia and is observed as a holiday. The Chinese New Year which is on February 10, 2013, is another holiday celebrated in Indonesia.
March 29 is Good Friday whereas May 9 is the Ascension Day of Jesus Christ in Indonesia. The Next holiday in Indonesia is the Waisak Day which is on May 25. The Ascension of the Prophet is on June 6 and is another holiday in this country followed by a joint holiday on 5th, 6th and 7th of August. Eid-al-fitr will be observed as a holiday on 8th and 9th of August.
The Independence day of Indonesia is on August 17 which is followed by a Joint Holiday on October 14. October 15th is also a holiday due to Eid-al-adha. Muharram falls on November 5 and is a big holiday in Indonesia. The final two holidays are on Christmas, 25th December and Joint Holiday on December 26th.
