Today's young teens are connected by information and communication technologies (ICTs). They are engaged on online world more than ever before. Find out how primary school students in the US are indulging in ICT use.
About 80% of millennials aged 13-18 were found to be using ICTs. These young teens access the internet from different sources. Over 60% of kids are provided with net at their homes while 25% of teenagers can access internet via mobile devices. About 40% of teens spend from 1 to 3 hours on the net while 13% of young kids are engaged on online for more than 5hours.
Nearly 20% of kids agreed that their parents had no idea what they do online. These teenagers are more likely to write something hurtful in an email. However, one in three students think cyber-bullying is a big deal in their schools. So there is clear need for targeted and engaging education to change unfavorable attitudes and behaviors while indulged in digital world.
