Laws, all over the world are made so as to keep people not just in line but also to maintain peace in the society. But as bizarre as it may sound, there are certain laws that might just not seems so. Paying taxes are a part of the every society's legal system but that does not stop some of them from being called and considered crazy.
The Hearth law of Britain was one of them. From the year 1662 to the year 1689, hearth law was one of the most ridiculous laws that the British royalty could levy on its people. According to this law, each household was suppose to pay a tax of two shillings per fireplace in their house in order to support the Royal household of King Charles IInd.
