The Chicago city or locally known ‘Chicagoland’ is the home for many festivals and fairs. Within the city of Chicago or on its suburbs there is hardly a weekend that passes by without any celebration. The most interesting part is from kids to adult everyone could be a part of these fun-filled festivals.
2013 is just another year which is also lined up with different festivals in Chicago. On May 4th Chicago Kids and kites festival would be hosted on Montrose Harbour in Lincoln park. This event would be especially for the kids running out to outdoors for flying their self made colourful paper kites.
This would be followed by another honouring festival on May 25th ‘The Chicago Memorial Day Parade’ which would start from Lake St. to Van Buren. Chicago Neighbourhood festivals and Chicago farmers market fair are prolong festival that starts on May and extends till September and October respectively.
The month of June opens with Chicago Blues Festival from June 6-9 at Grant Park and for bike lovers Chicago Bike week starting from June 10 and continues till June 14. The bike week ends with a Bike to Work Rally on June 14th at Daley Plaza. June ends with Chicago Gospel Music Festival on June 20-23rd which would be held at various places around Chicago including Chicago Cultural Center.
Summer is the season to celebrate for Chicago people. Hence, festivals like Chicago Music Summit, Chicago Summer Dance, Chicago Jazz Festival occurs during the span of June to September. This year, the land of festivals would also held World Music Festival from September 12-22 at multiple venues across the city.
