The history of camera
In 1800 AD, the first camera which was a pinhole camera came into being after which in the year, 1889, the first Kodak roll film camera was released. The oceaneye camera which was an underwater camera was launched in 1960 after which in the year 1992, the first professional digital camera was made available by Kodak. It was only in 2000 that the first camera phone was launched by Sharp.

The principles of Optics were suggested in between the 400 and 500 BC, ever since which camera and photography have come a long way. The first pinhole camera was released only in 1814 after which the Panaroma camera was launched in the year 1844. In 1968, a photograph of earth was taken from the moon and in 2011, gigapixel camera was introduced.

The early photographic cameras were launched in the year 1826 whereas the plate cameras were introduced in the year 1850. The film cameras were released in the early 1900s and camera phones were only made available in 1990s and the 2000s.
