An infographic created by salon services helps provide a glimpse in to Britain's salon habits. Whilst providing an interesting snapshot of the UK's hair and beauty industry throughout 2012 and briefly in 2013.
The questions asked are as follows:
Q) What salon treatments rank highest?
A) The most popular salon treatment for woman, a simple haircut, is followed closely by hair colour treatments. Men on the other hand, displayed that 52% purchase a hair cut over any other treatment.
Q) How long do people go between salon treatments (in weeks)?
A) Females take on average 6.3 weeks for their regular hair colour treatments. Similarly, Men choose to wait 6 weeks between their hair colour treatments.
The infographic also provides further interesting insights. Such as who male and females consider as their biggest inspiration and more.
For example - 84% of woman invest in hair and beauty treatments for themselves, whereas 65% of men who have treatments, do it for themselves.
Whilst Cheryl Cole and Kate Middleton are the biggest inspiration for females. David Beckham and Mark Wright proved the biggest inspiration for males.
The findings are based on an online survey of 2,618 Salon Services UK-wide customers in Q1 2013."
