Last Saturday, a fiery crash has hit the small town of Quebec when a parked Montreal Maine & Atlantic train has rolled down towards the Lac-Megantic town without a driver.
This massive fire accident has forced over 2,000 residents of the town to flee to different places, though many of them are returning back from past couple of days.
Edward Burkhardt, the President and CEO of Rail World Inc, has reached the spot under high security and stated that it was the failure of lone engineer on the train that resulted in the train blast.
The railway boss has further added that” the driver has failed to apply the brakes and it was driver’s responsibility to set the adequate hand brakes before starting it, if driver would have applied them properly, this incident wouldn’t have occurred”.
The train was carrying around 72 cars of curd oil and suddenly the train got derailed at a curve that resulted in explosion of several cars.
The official at Qubec town has confirmed that they have found 20 bodies in this massive explosion and there are still yet 30 people are missing after the train blast occurred at midnight 1 am
